On this page you can find information about smaller projects that I have worked on.

Hix

HIX: puzzle Islands

Help the godlike Hix restore his islands, after his devilish brother Dix has made a mess of things. Swap land tiles to reconnect all roads and rivers to their original start and end points. Connect all the puzzle pieces in the right way, and you will see the islands spring back to life!

As you make your way through multiple, differently themed worlds, you will also be able to recover some of Hix’s stolen belongings. And who knows, maybe you will even be able to reforge the brotherly bond that was broken.

Awarded by Pocket Gamer – Big Indie Pitch: ‘Highly polished game with a lot of charm, well-made mechanics, and a strong core!’

Role

Hix was my first real project at Gamedia. The concept of the game was already in place but it needed a cool visual style and had to turned into a “real mobile game”. Later on we released HIX on Nintendo Switch as well!

Together with an amazing programmer we created this stylized visual style and cute little world. I’ve concepted, modelled, textured and rigged the characters and they were animated with a really cool inhouse Mo-Cap technique. I also came up and visualized the small story that takes place in the game. I’ve also created the UI and made it nice and juicy thanks to the magic of the programmer on this project.

Treasure Temples

Treasure Temples

Join two young explorers as they discover the remnants of a long-lost civilization hidden deep beneath the snow. Endless riches await, but the path that leads to them is a challenging one. Floor tiles collapse with every step the explorers take, traps and ancient guardians lie in wait for them and all that glittering gold seems to have caught the eye of something else, something big…

Role

One of My first projects at Gamedia. The project was already started and had a chosen artstyle and many art created by the truly amazing Moniek Schilder. However the game needed more juice and had to be turned into a real game.

I helped out with creating additional art, added (flipbook) animations and added the juice where I could.

Terraria

Terraria

(iOS, Android, Amazon and Nintendo 3DS)

The very world is at your fingertips as you fight for survival, fortune, and glory. Delve deep into cavernous expanses, seek out ever-greater foes to test your mettle in combat, or construct your own city – In the World of Terraria, the choice is yours. Blending elements of classic action games with the freedom of sandbox-style creativity, Terraria is a unique gaming experience where both the journey and the destination are as unique as the players themselves!

Role

As Terraria was a huge title, it was an absolute honor to work on this project.

As an artist on the project I helped out with creating the UI. And I had the privilege to create some of the game’s exclusive content, like Elfa , the Holy Hand Grenade and the lovely Old Lady

ibb & obb

ibb & obb

ibb & obb is a two player cooperative game set in a puzzle filled world where gravity goes both up and down. You can only succeed by working closely together. Find a friend for some true local co-op couch fun or match up online!

Role

One of the coolest and most original games I have worked on!

For this game I had the absolute privilege to create the animations of the characters. All the characters and models in the game are 3D therefor animating the characters was done in a way I was already familiar with.

I really enjoyed creating the various run and walk cycles, adding the cuteness to the eyes when ibb and obb look at eachother, and I especially enjoyed creating the funny little dances you discover at the end of each level.

Dragon's Wrath

Dragon's Wrath

Dragon’s Wrath is 3D side-scroller game on the Nintendo 3DS, designed in a unique papercraft model style. You play Dragonio, the last of his kind whose family treasures have been stolen by a rogue group of medieval bandits. You must hunt them down and recover your inheritance before they escape with it forever.

Role

I took care of the game’s UI and 2D game art. The 3D models were done by someone else based of actual papercrafted figurines.  This was a small inbetween project, but nontheless fun to work on!
